Restaurant “Juraku/じゅらく“

This time I would like to introduce “Restaurant Juraku”(聚楽,じゅらく). It's one of the famous restaurants in Asakusa in Tokyo. The exterior is nostalgic and retro like the Showa Era in Japan. I went  there just after the restaurant opened, but there were already many customers of various generations standing in front of the restaurant.

The interior is also nostalgic and retro and the atmosphere is  like a cafe from old times. The inteu restaurant is so large. The staff is friendly and speaks English a bit to foreigners. Serving is fast.There are many kinds of meals, from Japanese to western. Of course there are Chinese items too.

This time I ordered “Adult Kidd’s plate (大人のお子様ランチ)” . It is really big and there were many things on the plate, including Omelet, pasta, hamburg steak and fried chicken . The taste was really good and I’d never tried an omelet before but this time tried it. I recommend pasta because the taste is really nostalgic like I ate in my childhood.

the price was 1814 yen. Price average from 500 yen to 2000 yen. I think it’s not so expensive and a reasonable price.

My book review - Deep River（深い河）

It’s my first post. Today I’d like to introduce I’ve recently  read the book is “Deep River”, In Japanese “Fukai Kawa (深い河)”.It was written by Shusaku Endo,published in 1993 and from Koudansha．This book is was the last works for him and he died in 1996. He wrote novels connected  to Christianity.And it also filmed in 1995.
Shusaku Endo was born in 1923 in Tokyo. He started writing novels from 1954 and he made some create masterpieces. His most famous novels are “Deep River(深い河)”, “Silent(沈黙)” and “Samurai”.
To summarize there are 5 main characters and they have some problems with each other. They go to India to River Ganges to as a pilgrimage. One of the characters Isobe  goes to India to promise to his wife. He was treated to his wife coldly before his wife was killed by cancer.But after his wife found out the got the cancer, he tried to face up to his wife.
I thought the content of this book was difficult and deep too much for me, but while reading I began to be interested gradually.But structure of the story was simply and easy to understand, so I will read this book deeply again someday.
